Like the way Providence has played too date beating Illinois handily as well as Virginia. Respect Texas team, but believe Friars defense, three point shooting and home court will be the difference. Longhorns not the same this year without pointguard T.J. Ford. Hence,

1* Providence -1

Overall Unit Record YTD: (60-37.5) 61.54% 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(6-3)(+8.1) 1*(37-25-2)(+9.4)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (44-28-2) 61.11%
NCAAB Record YTD: (12-9-1)(+4.1)
NBA Record YTD: (5-4)(+2.6)
NCAAF Record YTD: (21-8)(+22.0) (Final Bowl Game Record 19-8 Included)
NFL Record YTD: (6-7-1)(-6.2)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All

I don't post much old man but am glad to see you stayed as your views are always very solid. In addition your spirit and comaradie (prbly misspelled) are very refreshing. It is nice to see someone as knowledgable as you so willing to share the lessons you learned in a lifetime. Many others in this forum could take a lesson from your humility and use this forum positively, to help others and share information. Forget the egos and the bashing, we are all here to improve our capping and minimize losses. I for one hope you stick around.

Your kind words are very much appreciated. I was touched deeply by all the responses and support and except those who were unkind as well. This post serves as an indication that I plan to be here as often as my health will allow me to do so. Good luck to you in all your future plays.

I'd like to thank you once again TED. Like I said I put everything you won for me in the bowls and pounded LSU last night.

You're welcome. Nice to hear you had LSU. My play was on the Under. Great finish to a successful bowl.

Ted,
Love them in this spot. Prov. playing great. They are a real sleeper in the Big East. The Dunkin Donuts center is one of the hardest palces to play. It's a small place, the crowd is in your face and the lighting is awful. BUckman and Tucker wre no match for Gomes. Gomes should go off and Sanders can play with who ever is not on Gomes. Mouton is a little banged up and this zone and slow down style should bother Texas as this is only there 3rd road game. Prov gets a a nice win and will open the Big East schedule next week ranked for the first time in a long time

To answer your question regarding Kansas, I have a slight lean to the Jayhawks in this spot, but am always leary of a conference road favorite and one that is not particularly dominant this year. It did not warrant a play for me, but please don't let me sway you off a play if you feel strongly about it.

As to your other question, my health started to deteriorate last June. Prayer has become a much more important part of my life now then ever and I have been fortunate enough to have the prayers of family as well as friends. I have my good days as well as not so good but I'm battling everyday just like I do against the books. This is one of the reasons I came to the RX to share what I've learned and experienced and try to pass it on. It has been therapeutic to communicate in these forums, so I will continue to do so. I'd prefer not to get into detail and try and remain positive. I very much enjoy sharing with posters here and am sorry for causing a stir over the weekend. It was one of those bad days. It won't happen again.

Ted -

So glad you chose to stick around. Hope you are half as good at B-ball as you have been at football. I don't post responses much but be assured that I look for your posts daily. You have some prayers coming from Kansas for improved health. Your own positive attitude will take you a long way. Keep up the good work and as always we all appreciate your insight.

Thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement. Rest assured that I will be trying my best to help us be successful in hoops. During the regular season, you will tend to see me focusing more on college hoops than the NBA, then following March Madness, I will move to the NBA for the balance of the regular season and the playoffs. I will have a few plays in the NBA when I see something striking than warrants a play. Good luck to you and thank you for posting.
